ASSOCIATED WITH PROVIDING INFORMATION IN RESPONSE TO THIS ANNOUNCEMENT
AND ANY FOLLOW-UP INFORMATION REQUESTS. NO TELEPHONE CALLS REQUESTING
A SOLICITATION WILL BE ACCEPTED OR ACKNOWLEDGED. THERE IS NO
SOLICITATION AVAILABLE AT THIS TIME. STANDARD COMPANY BROCHURES ARE NOT
DESIRED. INFORMATION SHOULD FOCUS ON THE CAPABILITY TO PROVIDE THE
TECHNICAL SERVICES IDENTIFIED BELOW. The U.S. Environmental Protection
Agency is performing a market search for a contractor to provide
technical support to EPA's National Center for Environmental
Assessment-Washington in developing human health and Exposure Risk
Assessment information for assessments, methods and guidance. The
contractor shall be responsible of related activities and research to
improve the science of risk assessment. Interested parties must
demonstrate experience in the following technical areas: 1) Designing
and conducting of sampling studies for monitoring/measuring an
environmental medium or multimedia involved in human exposures; 2)
chemical- specific assessments and documents; 3) risk assessment
methodologies to reduce uncertainties in risk assessments; 4)
scientific reviews; 5) science writing; 6) risk communication; 7) the
successful contractor will supply preparation of draft responses in
support of the Superfund Health Risk Technical Support Center focussing
on the human health risk characterization, hazard identification, and
exposure analysis pertinent to single and multiple contaminant groups
at Superfund sites; 8) development and maintenance of risk assessment
data bases, 9) risk characterization, and 10) literature searching. The
applicable SIC Code is 8742 with a size standard of $5 million. ALL
INTERESTED BUSINESSES SHOULD FURNISH STATEMENTS REFERENCING THEIR
CAPABILITIES WITHIN FIFTEEN (15) DAYS OF THE PUBLICATION OF THIS
NOTICE. FIRMS SHALL INDICATE THEIR SIZE STATUS FOR THE SIC CODE
IDENTIFIED ABOVE (LARGE, SMALL, 8(a)). Supporting documentation should
be submitted in duplicate to Hans Schellhas, US EPA, CMD-NORWOOD, 26
W. Martin Luther King Drive, Cincinnati, Ohio, 45268. The Government
anticipates that a cost-plus fixed fee, level of effort contract will
result from the award of the subject solicitation. It is anticipated
that the award of the contract will consist of a twelve month base term
and 4 twelve month options. The Government anticipates a total maximum
potential level of effort of 100,000 direct labor hours over 5 years.
