764-6806 (Site Code DACA67) Multi-craft services are required to
perform preventive maintenance and repairs for temporary wooden
buildings at Fort Lewis, WA. Services include maintenance, repair,
commercial kitchen equipment repair, minor construction incidental to
services, and dining facilities pest control. Contractor must be
experienced in this type of work, which includes: (a) preventive
maintenance of heating systems (cyclic), (b) plumbing, (c) electrical,
(d) commercial kitchen equipment repair and servicing, (e) pest
control in dining facilities, (f) handling a Service Call Desk and
prioritizing service orders, and (g) utilizing computer systems for
keeping records of services performed. Service calls requiring work
over $2,500 will be subject to Service Contact Act wage rates. Service
calls requiring minor construction over $2,000 will be subject to
Davis- Bacon Act wage rates. Service calls requiring services under
$2,500 and construction under $2,000, will not be subject to federally
mandated wage rates. The contract resulting from this solicitation
will have one base period and three option periods, not-to-exceed (NTE)
a total of four years. Contract performance is expected to begin on 1
October 1998. Estimated cost range is NTE $1.3 million for the base
period, NTE $1 million for the first option, NTE $0.7 million for the
second option, and NTE $0.5 million for the third option; with a total
of NTE $3.5 million for the total contract period. Some of these
temporary wooden structures will be demolished during the contract
period. Wooden structures are the types normally found at military
installations. The contract will be a fixed-price contract with an
award fee. Pricing will be based on fixed monthly fees that will be
supplemented, when needed, with a small number of NTE items for
additional miscellaneous labor, materials or equipment required for
contract performance. AVAILABILITY: Plans and specs available on or
about 1 May 98, at no charge per set. No individual sheets are
available. Documents will be issued on a first come, first served basis
until supply is exhausted. No phone requests accepted. Refer to RFP No.

received before bid documents will be mailed. Requests may be FAXed to

and specs may be picked up from the Plans Room Monday thru Friday
between the hours of 7:30 AM and 3:30 PM. Submit requests by 23 April
98. Standard Industrial Classification Code is 8744. The procurement is
set-aside for small business. For the purposes of this procurement, a
concern is considered a small business if its annual average gross
revenue taken for the last 3 fiscal years does not exceed $20 million.
