Robinson, Contract Specialist, SEA 0285R, (703) 602-7714 ext 297, LCDR Neal McMahon, Contracting Officer, SEA 0285, (703) 602-7714 ext 290 The Naval Sea Systems Command intends to issue solicitation N00024-98-R-8500 for procurement of advanced planning for and accomplishment of Planned Incremental Availabilities (PIA) and Drydocking Planned Incremental Availabilities (DPIA) for repair, modernization and upkeep of CVN 68 Class nuclear powered aircraft carriers homeported in the Puget Sound, Washington area. Performance of this effort will be accomplished at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard, Naval Station Bremerton and Naval Station Everett. Offerors interested in obtaining a copy of the Request For Proposal (RFP) should do so in writing and forward it to Mr. Duane T. Robinson, NAVSEA 0285R by mail, fax (703) 602-3101 or internet (Robinson_Duane@hq.navsea.navy.mil). The anticipated issue date for the RFP is 15 April, 1998. The solicitation will be posted on the NAVSEA Contracts World Wide Web home page on or about 15 April, 1998, at the following address: http://www.contracts.hq.navsea.navy.mil/. The subject solicitation package can be located by its solicitation number and downloaded. A limited number of paper copies will be available on first come, first served basis beginning at 9:00 AM on or about 15 April, 1998 at the NAVSEA Industry Liaison Office, Room 5E40 in the Zachary Taylor Building (National Center #3), 2531 Jefferson Davis Highway, Arlington, VA.
