Brooks AFB is acquiring on a sole source basis with The University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio pursuant to FAR 6.302-1. The Government intends to issue a Firm-Fixed-Price contract (FFP) to use Diffusion Magnetic Resonance Imaging (DMRI) to detect and map regional heating produced by microwave exposure. The data will be obtained from the brain scans of four anesthetized monkeys that are being exposed to microwaves delivered in either a pulse or continuous manner. This will require approximately 40 hours of DMRI scan time. Notes 22 and 26 apply. (0072)
