dynamics of key fish species that are major sources of predation
mortality on commercially important stocks or that may be competitors
for resources with marine mammals and birds. Tasks include: (1)
preserve stomach samples of fish or invertebrate species collected,
identify, count and weigh; (2) assistance in collection of stomachs,
plankton/benthic samples as required; (3) multivariate statistical
analysis of the Bering Sea food habits database; (4) research on
pinniped, fish, and bird trophic interactions is required; and (5)
generate information on the life history of Atka macherel. The period
of performance is from September 1, 1998 through August 31, 1999, with
options for two (2) additional one-year option periods. All
