System (FLASHJET SYSTEM) to include installation, acceptance testing,
and training. The US Navy intends to issue solicitation
N68335-98-R-0136 on a sole source basis with Boeing Aircraft, St. Louis
MO under authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304 (c) (1), implemented by FAR
6.302-1 with an approved Justification and Approval to follow this
announcement. This equipment is required to support multiple aircraft
at Warner Robbins AFB. The offeror shall be responsible to provide the
unit, installing, testing and delivering all hardware, software,
documentation and support material necessary to comprise a complete
operational system. The offeror shall be responsible for training Navy
personnel in the operation, programming, and maintenance of the unit.
The Automated Aircraft Coating Removal Unit shall be installed at a
building which is to be constructed at Warner Robbins AFB, GA. This is
a commercial Off the Shelf product with minor modifications. The
Government does not own detailed specifications or drawings for the
Automated Aircraft Coating Removal System (FLASHJET SYSTEM) and this
procurement is the result of a reliability impact assessment of
alternative radome coatings removal methods conducted for the Air Force
