Y -- REPAIR/REPLACE FIRE SUPPRESSION SYSTEM, BUILDING 1 SOL DAHA23-98-B-0001 POC POC: Lisa Heislen, Contract Specialist (573) 526-9843 The Missouri National Guard desires a firm fixed-price construction contract to provide a new aqueous film-forming foam (AFFF) fire suppression system in an existing aircraft maintenance hangar, modify and reactivate existing sprinkler systems in the hangar shop and administrative areas, reconfigure water supply system, provide a new AFFF retention basin and associated controls, demolish existing water deluge system, to include pumps, water storage tank and associated piping and controls. Contract work includes work-phasing requirements, environmental testing and disposal of contaminated material. Primary construction consists of new water main installation, demolition of the existing water deluge system, AFFF and sprinkler system design and installation, fire alarm controls, electrical, concrete and proper handling and disposal of contaminated soil. This work is to be performed at the 139th Missouri Air National Guard, Rosecrans Memorial Airport, St. Joseph, Missouri. The estimated magnitude of construction is between $500,000 and $1,000,000. This is an unrestricted acquisition, however, it will be subject to the "Evaluation Preference for Small Disadvantaged Business (SDB) Concerns in Construction Acquisition Test Program." The construction performance period is 240 calendar days from receipt of the Notice-to-Proceed. No telephone or facsimile requests for bid packages or bidder's mailing lists will be accepted. All requests for solicitation packages must be accompanied by a non-refundable deposit in the amount of $45.50.
