Ridgeway, Contracting Officer, (205) 955-1187 The U.S. Army Space and Missile Defense Command (USASMDC) announces the release of "New and Innovative Ideas in Weapons Technology BAA" seeking new ideas and advanced and innovative concepts derived from current and emerging principles in the following technology areas: (1)Directed Energy Weapons Technologies including High Power Microwaves (HPM), Optics and Mirrors, Acquisition, Pointing, and Tracking (APT), and Other Applicable Directed Energy Technologies; (2) Interceptor Technologies including Seekers, Guidance, Navigation, and Control, Propulsion and Divert & Attitude Control Systems (DACS), Windows and Structures, Innovative Algorithm Concepts (Neural Network, Fuzzy Logic, Etc.) Applicable to Interceptors, and Other Applicable Interceptor Technologies; (3) Survivability Technologies including Nuclear, Biological, Chemical (NBC) Detection and Vulnerability, Electromagnetic Environmental Effects (E3), Camouflage, Concealment, Deception (CCD), Nuclear Hardened System Operational Validation, and Simulation/Modeling. The topics "Innovative Algorithm Concepts (Neural Network, Fuzzy Logic, etc) Applicable to Interceptors" and "Simulation/Modeling" as it applies to Survivability Technologies as stated in this BAA would be set-aside for small business and Historically Black Colleges/Universities and Minority Institutions (HBCU/MI).
