Design includes industrial hygienist asbestos survey and construction cost estimate for renovating approximately 16,000 gross square feet of existing clinical areas on the 1st Floor, Bldg. 1 for one new clinical module with the provision for optional award of construction documents and construction period services at a later date. Scope of work includes: asbestos abatement, demolition, new interior walls, new lighting and electrical distribution systems, HVAC systems, new interior finishes (ceilings, flooring, walls), plumbing work, fire protection and site preparation work for new clinical equipment installation. SIC Code is 8712. The estimated construction cost is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. Area of consideration is restricted to firms within the St. Louis, Missouri metropolitan area. Selection will be based on professional qualifications necessary for satisfactory performance of required services; specialized experience and technical competence in the type of work required; capacity to accomplish the work in the required time; past performance on contracts with Government agencies and private industry in terms of cost control, quality of work, and compliance with performance schedules; and location of working office and knowledge of locality of the project.
