Buebe (Telephone 301-981-1900) ESTIMATED ISSUE DATE: 20 March 1998. ESTIMATED COST RANGE: Between $250,000.00 and $500,000.00. Project AJXF 96-8011 consists of providing all plant, labor, equipment, materials to perform all operations necessary to install an emergency generator at building 1075 on Andrews Air Force Base, MD. The work includes, but is not limited to: Selective demolition, hazardous materials abatement, a new exterior diesel generator with fuel tank; a new main distribution panelboard for the building; replacement of secondary service cable from the existing transformer to the new automatic transfer switch; an automatic transfer switch with maintenance bypass and service entrance main circuit breaker; inter-connecting cable and raceways; conduit and controls; miscellaneous minor interior architectural finish work; and associated site development work. All work shall be achieved in accordance with applicable clauses, regulations, codes, standards of the industry, specifications and drawings. Total contract performance period is one job, 152 calendar days. The proposed procurement listed herein is being issued as an unrestricted acquisition and is subject to the evaluation criteria contained in DFAR 252.219-7008, Notice of Evaluation Preference for Small Disadvantaged Business Concerns -- Construction Acquisitions -- Test Program. Award will be made to the offeror who the Government determines can best accomplish the necessary work to satisfy the requirements set forth in the RFP in a manner most advantageous to the Government.
