Y -- POWWOW/LUMPRY ROAD CONSTRUCTION PROJECT SOL CSKT/ROADS 98-1 DUE 041598 POC Contact Mike Brown, 406-676-2600 The Confederated Salish and Kootenai Tribes require the construction of road improvements for the Powwow/Lumpry Roads Construction Project located near Arlee, Montana, in Lake County. Acquisition will be by a sealed bidding procurement method; qualifications for award on contracts under $1,000,000 bid amount will be subject to Indian Preference criteria contained in the solicitation. The project includes (1) Removal of existing facilities and structures including: clearing and grubbing roadway area, removing existing roadway signs, remoing existing cross drainage culverts, and removingal of existing fencing. (2) Constructing concrete sidewalks and drivepads including: excavating to subgrade level, furnishing and placing aggregate base, and forming, furnishing and placing concrete for curb and gutter, sidewalks, and drivepads. (3) Constructing roadway surface drainage drop inlets, drywells, and cross drainage culverts. (4) Roadway construction including: excavating existing roadway to subgrade, furnishing and placing aggregate base materials, and furnishing and placing hot asphalt concrete pavement. (5) Constructing barbed wire, woven wire, split rail, and chain link fencing with gates at various access points. (6) Furnishing and placing topsoil, establishing turf, and furnishing and placing shrubbery. (7) Installing road signs and pavement markings. (0062)
