Pulse Protection Units. This is a market survey to locate potential
sources of supply for a Commercial Off-The Shelf (COTS) Electromagnetic
Pulse Protection Units meeting the following requirements: Input power
115/230 Vac (commercial power), Output power 115/230 Vac 3.2 amps max,
AC input line cord shall be 10 feet, AC output line cord shall be 10
feet, Standard NIMA Power Connectors, Footprint not to exceed 12 x 18
x 6 inches, HEMP survivability: low risk EMP protection will be E1, E2,
& E3 pulses as defined per Mil-Std-188-125A, HEMP Protection for Ground
Based Performing Critical, Time Urgent Missions. The source shall
demonstrate that the TSCTR shall not sustain permanent damage; when
powered by commercial power (from European Power Grid) through the
Electromagnetic Pulse Protection Unit and simultaneously pulsed with
electromagnetic field pulses and induced Pulse current injection pulses
(E1, E2, & E3 EMP pulses) as defined per Mil-Std-188-125A. Any
interested sources withsuitable Electromagnetic Pulse Protection Units
must send technical information to include, but not be limited to,
detailed product specification, available test data, schedule
availability and cost information, NLT 10 Apr 1998, to Bldg 210, ATTN:
AMSEL-RD-ST-SE-TA (Nathan Smith), Fort Monmouth, NJ 077003.
Contractors shall also include information on any open DOD contractual
vehicles for the subject equipment, to include GSA schedules. All
