Branscum, (757) 433-2661 THIS IS A COMPLETE REVISION TO THE 13 FEBRUARY 1998 SYNOPSIS. The work includes three separate projects: 1) F/A-18 Flight Simulator Building 140 Addition which includes renovation of three wings and the construction of a two story addition; 2) Renovations/Additions to NAMTRAGRUDET Training Facility which includes interior and exterior renovations to Bldgs. 223 and 240, an addition to bldg. 240, parking lot, landscaping and site utilities; 3) Corrosion Control Hangar includes the hangar, a HAZMAT Bldg., a concrete aircraft apron, an asphalt access road, the demolition of three metal bldgs. and one modular facility, site grading and drainage, removal of existing concrete, asphalt and utilities, placement of auger cast piles, closure of existing monitoring well and reinstalling new monitoring well, construction of a structural steel frame hangar, installation of an AFFF fire suppression system, electrical systems and specialized hanging doors and incidental work at the Naval Air Station Oceana, Virginia Beach, Virginia. This is a request for proposal (RFP) and requires the submission of technical and price proposals. Price and Technical are of equal value. The technical criteria consist of four factors: Past Performance, Relevant Experience, Experience Modification Rating (EMR), Support of Small Business. Plans and Specifications will be available on or about 3/4/98. Proposal due Date is 4/7/98. A CHARGE WILL BE MADE FOR EACH SET OF HALF-SIZE AND FULL-SIZE PLANS. The cost for each half-size set of plans and specifications with the solicitation package is $155.00 and the cost for each full-size set of plans and specifications with the solicitation package is $600.00. This price includes priority mail postage. These sets will be made available upon receipt of a written request, and a non-refundable check or money order made payable to the U.S. Treasury. Estimated cost range is more than $10,000,000. This project is not set aside for small business concerns. All responsible sources may submit an offer which willbe considered.
