Supporting facilities include condensing and refrigeration systems, electronic control systems, and piping and pumping systems of appropriate materials to handle a range of concentrations of nitric acid, sulfuric acid, and mixed acids. Additional supporting facilities include site work (electrical and civil) and HVAC systems. This procurement will be conducted through a competitive negotiation process. Award will be based on price and other non-priced factors including relevant specialized experience, project staffing and management capabilities, workplan methodology and safety capabilities, subcontracting plan and past performance. The solicitation will issue with preliminary drawings and specifications on 16 March 1998. Proposals are due on 30 April 1998. A preposal conference and site visit will be held on or about 25 March 1998 at NSWC Indian Head. Specific time and location to be announced within the solicitation documents. A non-refundable charge of $330.00 per solicitation package is required and checks should be made out to "US Treasury". Solicitations may be picked up in person or requests may be submitted in writing accompanied with payment at the Defense Printing Service Detachment Office, Attention: Kevin Gable, 901 M Street, SE, Building 143-1, Washington Navy Yard, Washington, DC 20374-5030.
