Herchak, Contracting Officer The USDA, Agricultural Research Service (ARS) intends to negotiate solely with Environmental Growth Chambers, Chagrin Falls, OH, to upgrade four (4) Environmental Growth Chambers -- EGC-M13 controllers, and upgrade lighting to an EGC Air-Cooled Sunbrella H.I.D. (flourescent lamp) System at its location in Beaver, West Virginia. There are currently four EGC MP-1 controllers which will be upgraded to EGC TC-2 controllers and shall include new temperature and humidity sensors. The controllers will operate using ControlNet Software. Connection of a Government furnished computer to four (4) chambers now equipped with the TC-2 controllers to form a data logging network. Installation and testing along with demonstration and instruciton in the use and maintenance of the TC-2 and software systems will be required. Companies with the demonstrated capability of providing this system and maintaining it must submit in writing a descriptive statement, including descriptive literature, specifically addressing the equipment's components and availability, as well as the company's capability to maintain/support it. The statement and literature must be submitted to the P.O.C. within 15 days of publication of this notice. Faxed information will not be accepted. This is not a request for proposal.
