Navy has a requirement for a retractable, corrosion resistant screen
system to shield a remote minehunting vehicle and its associated launch
and recovery system planned for installation on Arleigh Burke Class
destroyers. The system must provide a low radar return in the closed
position and a 25 feet wide by 16 feet high clear opening in the open
position for vehicle launch and recovery. U.S. or foreign firms capable
of supplying an off-the-shelf system meeting these requirements are
invited to submit an affirmative response to this notice. To be
considered off-the-shelf the system must have been used in a marine
application. Firms interested in responding to this notice, should
respond by 31 March 1998. Responses should include a corporate point of
contact and literature, brochures, and data sheets describing the
system and current or previous marine applications. Interested sources
