Contracting Officer, (205)955-1187 Space Defense Technology for Future
Military Requirements. The U.S. Army Space and Missile Defense
Command, Technology Analysis and Integration Directorate, intends to
negotiate on a sole source basis a follow-on contract with Institute
for Foreign Policy Analysis, Inc., 675 Massachusetts Avenue, 10th
Floor, Cambridge, MA 02139. The proposed acquisition is directed to
Institute for Foreign Policy Analysis, Inc., pursuant to the authority
of FAR 6.302-1(a)(2)(iii)(a), only one responsible source and no other
supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. The objective of
this contracting effort is to examine and assess the current state of
the national space defense policy and technology in light of the
potential threat capabilities that are likely to confront the United
States and its deployed forces seven to fifteen years in the future.
