B -- DATA COLLECTION, REPORTING AND TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE SOL 98-BPHC-A218301(MJS) DUE 031598 POC Mary Jean Skinner, 301-443-2750 The Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) intends to negotiate on a SOLE SOURCE basis with the University of Kansas Center for Research, Office of Sponsored Programs, 221 Strong Hall, Lawrence, Kansas 66045. This procurement shall be processed in accordance with the Simplified Acquisition Procedures of Part 13 of the Federal Acquisition Regulations. The purpose of this purchase order is to provide for the continued collection of all program data from the 15 Alzheimer's Demonstration Grant Program State grantees for a period of five months and to monitor this data for accuracy, completeness and quality; and to provide these grantees with technical assistance in data collection and data transfer to a central site. It is also to provide for the coordinating of activities to develop the first phase of a series of pamphlets that will be used to facilitate replication of model programs developed under the auspices of the HRSA Alzheimer Demonstration Grant to States Program. Lastly, it is to provide for continued consultant services to the Alzheimer's Program Office in representing HRSA/BPHC and the Program to the grantee States. The period of performance is 11 months. The University of Kansas is deemed the only responsible source capable of providing the required work and services. A Justification for Other than Full and Open Competition is on file.
