99 -- MODIFICATION OF REFLECTOR SUPPORT WELDMENTS SOL RFQAF9905 DUE 032098 POC Rena Cerbone, TEL. (617)495-7445, FAX (617) 495-7485 The Smithsonian Astrophyiscal Observatory (SAO) requires the modification of four (4) Reflector Support Weldments. The work consists of modifications required to customize a set of Adapter Plates for Reflector Support Weldment. The customization refers to matching each Adapter Plate to its Weldment because they may vary one to another in their geometry and dimensionality. Drawings for the Weldment are included in the solicitation package. The Weldments are fabricated from steel and have the following basic dimensions, 70 inches wide by 77 inches long by 40 inches in depth. The weight of each weldment is approximately 3600 pounds. Quotations must cover return shipment from the Contractor to the SAO Submillimeter Array Facility in Westford, MA. The acquisition is a 100% Set Aside for Small Business.
