Phila. intends to acquire, on a sole source basis in accordance with FAR 6.302-1, textbooks and publications from the U.S. Naval Institute's Naval Institute Press quarterly catalog. The testbooks and publications are required by the Naval Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps (NJROTC), Chief of Naval Education and Training (CNET), Pensacola; for the NJROTC, Naval Reserve Officer Training corps (NROTC), and Navy and Marine Corps libraries. A Firm Fixed Price, Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity type contract, with a base year, and three one year options, is anticipated. The Naval Institute's Naval Institute Press is considered the only supplier of all required textbooks and publications. This contract is for the supplies which the Government inteneds to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. The solicitation will be conducted under the provisions for Commercial Items, FAR Part 12. The solicitation will require the submission of cost/price proposals. All responsible sources may submit a proposal which shall be considered by FISC Norfolk Detachment Philadelphia. Notes 22 and 26 apply. (0055)
