T -- NEXT DAY DELIVERY OF PAPER PRODUCTS SOL 40800053 DUE 030698 POC Contact: Elinor Cunningham, Procurement Specialist (301) 415-6580 This is a combined synopsis/request for quotation of commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. THIS ANNOUNCEMENT CONSTITUTES THE ONLY REQUEST FOR QUOTATION; proposal are being requested and a written request for quotation will not be issued. This synopsis/request for quotation incorporates provisions and clauses in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 90-42 and will be awarded under FAR, Subpart 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures. This procurement is under a 100 percent small business set aside. The Standard Industrial Classification code is required 5111. The resultant purchase order will be Requirements type for the paper identified herein. REQUIREMENT: The vendor shall provide the paper specified herein and provide for next day delivery utilizing the Just-In-Time method. Paper Specifications are as follows: (1) 7530-00-616-7284, Paper, Bond 25% Rag, White Letter Size -- Bond paperis 20 lbs substance, white long grain with good erasability and permanence, Sheet size is 8 1/2" X 11" and is wrapped in reams of 500 sheets each with 10 reams per box, QUANTITY: 352 BOXES. The paper shall meet the Joint Committee on Printing Code G40 and shall contain at least 20% postconsumer materials per Presidential Executive Order 12873, (2) 7530-00-NRC-0022X, Paper, Offset Book, White, 11" X 17" -- Smooth finish, long grain, 60 lb. substance weight, cut sheet size is 11" X 17". QUANTITY: 1,600 BOXES. Shall contain at least 20% postconsumer materials. Normal box content is 5 wrapped reams of 500 sheets each. The paper shall be wrapped and boxed due to the humidity and moisture in the NRC Print Shop, (3) 7530-00-NRC-0026X, Paper, Offset Book, Yellow, 11" X 17" -- Smooth finish, long grain, 20 lb. weight, cut sheet size is 11" X 17", QUANTITY: 288 BOXES. Shall contain at least 20% postconsumer materials. Normal box content is 5 wrapped reams of 500 sheets each, (4) 7530-01-335-2623, Paper, Xerographic, Letter Size, White Copier paper is 20 lb. basis weight, dual purpose, white, long grain. Size is 8 1/2" X 11" standard letter size, QUANTITY: 11,000 BOXES. Shall be wrapped in reams of 500 sheets each with 10 reams packed per box. Shall meet JCP Code 065 for Government papers. All order shall be palletized. The vendor selected for award of this purchase order will be given the first opportunity to provide special order paper for the NRC under the micropurchase threshold. The NRC will not accept shipments unless they are on pallets. NRC will return empty pallets of the last order with each new shipment. NRC guarantees to order each item in pallet amounts only. This is for the convenience of shipping and receiving the items. The vendor will state the pallet amount for each item to the Project Officer who will ensure that all calls are made for the correct amounts. Paper shall be free of all defects and shall come with a guarantee that if defects are found, the paper will be replaced at no charge to the NRC. The vendor shall agree to on-site inspections of paper and conditions if requested by the NRC. Any item that must be returned to the vendor for any reason will be transported to the NRC Supply Store Bulk area and identified as to the problem. It will be picked up from there after the Store personnel have contacted the vendor. All deliveries shall be made within one (1) working day after a call has been placed with the vendor. If for any reason the vendor cannot deliver the requested items within the one day time frame, they shall contact the NRC Project Officer to explain the delay. DELIVERY ADDRESSES AND HOURS FOR DELIVERY: (1) U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission, One White Flint Building, Print Shop or Supply Store, 11555 Rockville Pike Rockville, MD 20852, Hours: 8:00 a.m. -- 11:30 a.m. and 12:30: p.m. -- 4:00 p.m., Monday -- Friday. All deliveries to the One White Flint Building shall be inside deliveries. (2) U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission Warehouse, 5000 Boiling Brook Parkway, Rockville, MD 20852, Hours: 7:45 a.m. -- 3:45 p.m., Monday -- Friday. Saturday deliveries are acceptable only in emergency situations and only if it has been approved in advance by the NRC Project Officer. PERIOD OF PERFORMANCE: one year after award of the purchase order.
