Department of Veterans Affairs, Great Lakes Acquisition Center, is planning to negotiate a sole soure contract with Humphrey Instruments for the purchase of a Humphrey Refractor/Keratometer Model 599, a Zeiss SL 130 Slit Lamp plus accessories, for the VAMC Tomah, WI. The reason why Humphrey Instruments is considered a sole source is that this equipment offers isolated acuity lines, childern's targets, near testing, low contrast sensitivity testing, subjective refinement capabilities, automatic alignment and can communicate with automated lensometers. Other sources who believe they are capable of providing the equivalent of this product must supply information about their capabilities to this office by March 20, 1998, in order to receive consideration.
