This is a Combined Synopsis/Solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation. Proposals Are Being Requested And A Written Solicitation Will Not Be Issued. Solicitation number N00164-98-Q-0093 applies and is issued as a request for quote (RFQ). This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-03 and Defense Acquisition Circular 91-12. The standard industrial code is 3585 and the business size standard is 750 employees or less. This requirement is for a firm fixed price contract for as follows. Line item 0001: Description AN/SPS-40E Dual Mode/Closed Loop Cooling Unit with commercial manuals, Model Number 51100, QTY 4 EACH. This requirement applies to AN/SPS-40E Radar Systems for installation of the Coast Guard Cutters to improve water flow and water quality. The cooling units shall interface with the AN/SPS-40E Radar through Unit 32. Delivery shall be: Qty 1 each on or before 1 April 1998, Qty 1 each on or before 2 May 1998, Qty 1 each on or before 25 August 1998, Qty 1 each on or before 10 June 1998. F.O.B. This acquisition is issued on a sole source basis per FAR 6.302-1(c), with Electro Impulse Inc as the intended source.
