S -- CONSOLIDATED FACILITIES MANAGEMENT SERVICES SOL NAMA98N8P0015 POC Joyce Herbert, 301-713-6755, ext. 229 Notice Pursuant to the authority of 44 USC 2112(a) and Public Law 89-169, the National Archives and Records Admin.,(NARA)intends to negotiate on a source basis with the University of Texas at Austin, Vice President for Business Affairs, P.O. Box 8179, Austin, TX 78713-8174, for Consolidated Facilities Management & Utilities at the Lyndon Baines Johnson Presidential Library. The Library is located wholly within the University grounds and the building is owned by the University with perpetual use granted to NARA to operate the facility as a Presidential archival despository. Under the terms of the Agreement of October 8,1965, the University is responsible for maintenance of the building. Mechanical systems used by the Library are inter-connected with University Central Plant, and the Univesity Police have jurisdiction over the building. All utilities (except telephone sevices) are provided via the University central system. Period of contract will be o/a 5-1-98 through 4-30-99, with four (4) additional one (1) year options. the government has determined that there is only one responsible source.
