Hill AFB, UT, Little Mountain and Utah Test and Training Range (UTTR).
Basic 12 month period and four 12 month option periods to replace
floor coverings. Rolled carpet, carpet squares, vinyl floor tile,
rubber/vinyl base or entry matting shall be replaced in portions of or
entirely throughout buildings as specified in each task assignment.
The work shall consist of the following: 1. Remove existing flooring
and resilient base. 2. Prepare and patch sub floor. 3. Prepare and
patch walls for resilient base. 4. Install new carpeting, carpet
squares, vinyl floor tile or entry matting. 5. Install new resilient
base where specified in drawings. Delivery orders will be issued on an
as needed basis. the first delivery order will be negotiated with the
successful contractor and may be awarded at the same time as the basic
contract. The contractor will be guaranteed a minimum of $25,000.00
during the Basic Contract Period and $25,000.00 during each exercised
option period. The maximum the government shall order per year is
$200,000.00. A bid bond of $20,000.00 is required with the bid. A
Performance Bond of $100,000.00 and a Payment Bond of $50,000.00 is
required from the successful contractor after award. As orders exceed
$100,000.00 additional bonding will be required to match the value of
the outstanding orders. There will be multiple wage determinations
applicable to this solicitation. Note: A pre bid conference will be
held Tuesday, 98 Mar 31, 10:00 AM, building 1289 east center, upstairs,
conference room A. Estimated range: $500,000.00 -- $1,000,000.00 (for
the entire life of the contract.) Performance Period: 12 month basic
year and four twelve month option years. The approximate issue/response
date will be 17 Mar 98. No telephone requests. Only written or faxed
requests received directly from the requestor are acceptable. All
responsible sources solicited may submit a bid, proposal, or quotation
which shall be considered. Request for copies of solicitations must
reference the entire solicitation number, including purchasing office
identification number. To expedite your request, limit the number of
individual solicitation numbers requested per letter to not more than
10. Don't request information on this requirement until after the issue
date. An Ombudsman has been appointed to hear concerns from offerors or
potential offerors during the proposal development phase of this
acquisition. The purpose of the Ombudsman is not to diminish the
authority of the program director or contracting officer, but to
communicate contractor, concerns, issues, disagreements, and
recommendations to the appropriate government personnel. When
requested, the Ombudsman will maintain strict confidentiality as to the
source of the concern. The Ombudsman does not participate in the
evaluation of proposals or in the source selection process. Interested
