C -- ARCHITECT/ENGINEER SERVICES, WPNSTA EARLE, COLTS NECK, NJ SOL N62472-98-D-2703 DUE 040398 POC Mr. Richard Rahman (732) 866-2396 Scope of Services: This project is unrestricted and involves Engineering and Design services for an indefinite quanitity contract for site investigation and preparation of plans, specifications, and cost estimates for projects involving inspection, construction, repair and maintenance of the base facilities and infrastructure. It is anticipated that all projects involved in this contract will be in the electrical-mechanical disciplines. The initial project is for the design of lightning protection of "B" barricades. Each project may require Engineering and Design services with options for Post Construction Contract Award Work (shop drawings review/approval and as-built drawings preparation) and consultation during construction. Options are normally exercised within six months of completing the prior work but delays of one year or more are possible. As part of this contract an asbestos and lead paint assessment may be required to determine the presence of these materials. If asbestos and/or lead paint is found, this contract will be amended to include sampling and testing and preparation of plans and specs showing the location of asbestos and/or lead paint and specifying the procedures to be followed to prevent the release of airborne materials and their removal. Firms unable to accept work involving asbestos or lead paint need not apply. Construction Contract Number: N62472-98-C-2704 (This number must be cited on SF255). Estimated start date September 1999; estimated completion date December 2000. Type of contract: Firm Fixed Price. Firms responding to this announcement on or before 03 April 98 will be considered. Respondents may supplement their sunbmssions with graphic material and photographics which best demonstrate design capabilities of the team proposed for the project. Subject to necessary changes, the total fee that may be paid under this contract for the first year will not exceed $200,000. A second year option for a maximum fee of $200,000 may be exercised at the discretion of the Government subject to workload and/or satisfaction of A/E performance under the present contract.
