No solicitation will be issued. The Defense Special Weapons Agency (DSWA) intends to award a sole source contract to International Energy Technologies (INERTEK) to design, manufacture, and test a module consisting of several close-spaced thermionic converters intended for use in low temperature (1400-1500K) solar power systems. INERTEK has developed a unique high-efficiency, close-spaced thermionic diode. This technology is unique in the world. INERTEK is the only viable source capable of designing and fabricating the isothermal electrodes required under this effort. Contemplated period of performance is 15 months.
