F -- TYPE II FOREST FIREFIGHTING CREW SOL RFP R5-11-98-17 DUE 040998 POC Lewis C. Wilson, Contracting Officer, 530/283-2050 The Plumas National Forest, Quincy, CA, intends to acquire services for a Type II Forest Firefighting Crew. Contractor shall provide personnel, ground transportation, supplies, and equipment for the purpose of; supressing wildland fires; performing prescribed burns; and performing labor intensive presuppression work. 20-person crew. Crew shall form and depart from base within 3 hours of receiving dispatch. Minimum Incident Command System (ICS) Personal qualifications; Crew Boss -- single resource (CRWB); Advanced Fire Fighter (FFT1); amd Fire Fighter (FFT2). All personnel must pass the Aerobic Test at the ARDUOUS Level. All personnel shall receive the USDA, Forest Service, Pacific Southwest Region, "Critical Training" annually. Training shall meet the requirements of the National Wildfire Control Group (NWCG), Pacific Southwest Regional supplement. Training shall be conducted by instructors certified by the; California State Fire Marshall; California State Community College System, NWCG; or the USDA, Forest Service. Crew will be under the control of the Plumas National Forest. One year contract, with two one-year options. Firm, fixed price contract. Start of performance period is negotiable.
