The U S Army CECOM proposes to procure ten (10) each afocal/scanners, with an option to procure up to six (6) each afocal/scanners. The base period of performance is eighteen (18) months. The afocal/scanners shall meet the requirements of Specifications PRFA3271822 and PRFA3271820. The proposed procurement will result in a firm-fixed-price contract to Pilkington Optronics, St. Asaph, North Wales, UK. This procurement falls under the Foreign Comparative Test (FCT) Program. The FCT is a congressionally mandated program that demonstrates the willingness of the US to purchase foreign items meeting technical requirements. The estimated date that the solicitation will be available on the CECOM web site is February 18, 1998.
