This is a notice intent to prequalify General Contractors to upgrade lobbies and construct Postal Retail Stores and related general construction in the Atlanta District. Locations and exact numbers of lobby upgrades/Postal Retail Stores have not yet been determined. Typical work will include interior renovations. The typical trades involved are: drywall, flooring, ceiling, carpentry, finishes, electrical, security, mechanical and fire protection. The anticipated construction cost for an individual project is expected to range from $50,000 to $750,000 per location. Prequalification statements will be evaluated by the Contracting Officer's staff. Primary factors that will be considered are: construction experience, financial capability, capacity, references, timely completion history and previous clients. Applicates must be registered General Contractors in the State of Georgia. Applications will be evaluated by a USPS committee, and all General Contractors will be advised within 60 days of receipt of their application as to prequalification status. General Contractors selected as being the most qualified will be placed on the prequalification list.
