The solicitation will also include options for 8 additional 125V/50A @ 1-phase 208/240VAC battery chargers, 8 additional 125V/50A @ 3-phase 208/240VAC battery chargers, 6 additional 125V/75A @3-phase 208/240VAC battery chargers, 6 additional @ 3-phase 208/240VAC battery chargers, and 6 additional 125V/150A @ 3-phase 208/240VAC battery chargers and associated spare parts kits. The battery chargers will be used for charging 125 volt, lead-acid calcium-lead switchgear and control batteries in high and extra-high voltage power substations. Equipment will be delivered FOB Destination to Loveland, Colorado. The Government intends to award one or more firm-fixed price contracts, in accordance with FAR Part 12 -- Acquisition of Commercial Items. It is anticipated that one or more awards will result from this solicitation. The solicitation will be issued on or about February 23, 1998, on an unrestricted basis.
