The Naval Air Systems Command intends to issue a firm fixed price modification to contract N00019-98-C-0022 with Raytheon E-Systems-Waco to complete the remaining production installations of the Airborne Command Post (ABNCP) modification into the E-6 aircraft. The effort consists of purchasing six kits, eight installations, installation of Trainer #2 at Tinker AFB, spares, support equipment, and required data to complete the E-6B modification. The aforementioned requirements will be spread over a four year period (FY99, FY00, FY01, and FY02). This requirement will be awarded on a sole source basis to Raytheon E-Systems-Waco based on unique expertise gained during the developemnt of the E-6 Block Upgrade and ABNCP programs. See Note 22.
