Eller, Contracting Officer, (210) 657-5804, FAX (210) 652-6309 The Air Force Services Agency in San Antonio, Texas is exploring alternatives, from consultants or service providers, to the typical cable TV services that are available to Air Force bases within the Continental United States. These alternatives would be used by our lodging facilities that are typical of a motel operation. An alternative might be a small satellite dish driven system similar to that used by the hotel/motel industry. However, other alternatives will be considered. The basic need of our facilities is the ability to provide local channels, the normal range of channels shown via cable, with the availability of in-room movies for sale to customers also a consideration. If your firm is interested, please provide written information on your methods of providing the requested service to the AFNAF Purchasing Office. Responses should arrive not later than 25 February 1998. Firms responding may also be asked to make oral presentations to personnel of the Air Force Services Agency in San Antonio, Texas. This Request For Information (RFI) is for planning purposes only and shall not be construed as a request for proposal or as an obligation on the part of the Government to make any follow-on acquisitions. The Government does not intend to award a contract on the basis of the RFI or otherwise pay for the information solicited. No entitlement to payment of direct or indirect costs or charges by the Government will arise as a result of submission of responses to this RFI and Government use of such information.
