This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with format in FAR Subpart12.6, as supplemented with additional information in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will NOT be issued. This document is issued as a request for proposal, and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-3. Procurement is 100% set-aside for small business; SIC Code is 3585; size standard is 18 mil. Line item 0001: Environmental Freezer/Refrigerator Room; total size 16' 4.5" wide by 11' 7" front to back by 8' 6" high. The room is to be divided into two equal sections. Interior size: 7' 8" wide by 10' 11" front to back by 7' 10" high. Temperature range: Rm 1, Refrigerator room maintained at not less than 10 degrees Celcius. Rm 2, Freezer, maintained at not less than 0 degrees Celcius. Flooring: non-slip, non-conductive material. Recorder in each chamber to monitor temperature 100% of the time. Doors to be left-hand, inswinging; 34" wide by 78"; and lockable. Insulation: Urethane, 4" foamed-in-place, R33.3 and UL flame spread rating of 25 or less. Refrigeration, each chamber: air-cooled, remote, on roof, approx 10 ft. Blowers, each chamber. Lighting, each chamber: flourescent. Attention to room size is critical as installation space is limited. Line Item 0002: Installation; assembly and installation at Bldg 930, Brooks AFB. Vendor required to make electrical connection to power panel in Rm 118; make connection to existing drain line in Rm 120; locate condensing unit on roof of Bldg 930 with preparations for supply return lines and electical connections. Govt preparation of site will include coring/sealing of location, and furnished utilities available and in place at time of installation. Delivery: to Brooks AFB 90 days ARO.
