Batke, Kathleen.L.Batke@lerc.nasa.gov. NASA/LeRC intends to purchase
from Science & Technology Development Corporation R & D identify the
fundamental mechanisms controlling the gas-jet diffusion flame in
normal and reduced gravity, in the laminar, transitional, and turbulent
regimes. Also, to identify the fundamental mechanisms controlling the
interaction of periodic flow vortices with laminar gas-jet diffusion
flames and to gain the computational ability to accurately predict the
characteristics of laminar gas-det diffusion flames, with and without
imposed flow vortices. The statutory U.S.C. 2304 (c)(1) as implemented
by FAR 6.302-1 "only one responsible source and no other supplies or
service will satisfy agency requirement". The Principal Investigator
(PI) Key Scientist was originally selected under NRA-95-OLMSA-03, which
was full and open competition. An Ombudsman has been appointed. See
Internet Note "B". (0034) Loren Data Corp. http://www.ld.com (SYN# 0010 19980205\A-0010.SOL)
