INSTRUCTIONAL MATERIALS TO TEACH ADP DEMONSTRATION COURSES. COURSE
INSTRUCTORS WILL TEACH ATTENDEES HOW TO MAINTAIN AND SUPPORT SPECIFIC
HARDWARE AND SOFTWARE AT THEIR AGENCY LOCATIONS. SOL 1450-K00-98-010

The Bureau of Indian Affairs intends to procure course-ware and
instructional/reference materials, and an ADP demonstration course. The
strategy is to use Government trainers to train selected agency staff
on specific software and hardware necessary to maintain core ADP
services at their agencies with the contract deliverables. Contractors
must provide pricing to do training in lieu of the Government. The
vendor will teach a demonstration course to obtain acceptance of the
deliverables. Core ADP services consist of configuring troubleshooting
and maintaining hardware and software. The standard hardware and
software consist of the following (variations are noted). Servers:
Novell 3.12, some 4.11 and Novel NT; Server backup: Arcserve 5.x and
6.x with 2-4 gig 4mm drives; Personal Computers: Win 95 and Windows for
Workgroups 3.11 with Novell Client Software; Cabling 10Base T; Routers:
Cisco 250x; Hubs: Cabletron; WAN Protocols: IPX/SPX for Novell, TCP/IP
for Internet Printing HP Jet Direct for Networks, some Novell with
Pconsole; Electronic Mail: CC-Mail Postoffices DB6, 7, 8. Clients 6, 7,
8 for windows; Mainframe Access: IBM (NS 3270 emulation, from NetSoft,
Inc.) UNISYS A-17 -- Telnet (VT100). Server training will be limited
to basic adminiistration tasks establishing new users, resetting
passwards, setting up groups, setting up printers, backing up the
serve, etc. Solicitation packages will be sent out to interested
offerors on Wednesday, February 18, 1998. Deadline for receipt of
proposals will be on or about Wednesday, March 18, 1998. Technical
