The Fleet and Industrial Supply Center Norfolk, Washington Detachment, intends to award a sole-source contract to Eastman Kodak, 901 Elmgrove Road, Rochester, NY, for scheduled preventive maintenance, repair, and technical assistance for a Kodak designed and manufactured Chemical Mixing & Delivery Facility located at ONI. The following will be maintained: Tank Stand Assemblies, Portable Mix Tanks, Tempered Water Meters, Solution Distribution Panels, Solution Monitor and Control Systems, Chemical Dispensing Systems 2, 4, & 6 tanks, Hose Stations 2 & 4 chemicals, Rotex Silver Recovery Units, LMI Milton Roy Pumps, (VERSAMAT Delivery Stations and Waste Treatment Tank Level Sensors), Kodak VERSAMAT Processors (Models 1140 & 11C),Kodak XL7700 Thermal Dye Printers, Kodak NIAGARA/REDONDO printer (Model 2) and Kodak BEACON Precision Enlargers. The contract will have one base year and four one-year options. The contract will contain FAR Clause 52.217-8 for an additonal 6-month option. The period of performance begins on 01 OCT 1998. The sole-source contract to Eastman Kodak is necessary because no other known vendors possess the proprietary information associated with the equipment and software. See Notes 22 and 26. (0030)
