Vilhauer, Contracting Officer, 505/846-2659 The Air Force Research Laboratory, Directorate of Contracting, Kirtland AFB, New Mexico is seeking potential sources to provide GLOBAL POSITIONING SYSTEM (GPS) SEMICONDUCTORS/PERFORMANCE BOARD/TESTS TAPES. THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS. The US Army BCPO anticipates the acquisition of commercial items in accordance with the format in Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 12 as supplemented. The objective of this effort will be the delivery of four semiconductors in support of the GPS. The items needed are Item 1. Part Number 153-005-012, VLSI Part Number VM14198-A, quantity 350 each. Item number 2, part number153-0008-020, VLSI Part Number VM04910-A, 350 each. Item Number 3, Part Number 153-0014-010, VLSI Part Number VM14025-A, quantity 350 each. Item number 4, Part Number 153-0017-010, VLSI Part Number VM14045-A, quantity 350 each. The items cannot be prototypes and must meet Mil Standard 883 requirements. Former source was VLSI Corporation, however, an equal source/product will be considered. . Drawings and performance boards and 2 copies of test tape must be provided for each part number listed above. Firms responding must submit technical/functional documentation (i.e. technical/functional literature, brochures etc.) for these semiconductors. The technical/functional documentation shall provide sufficient technical/functional data in order for the project office to determine whether the product meets the required form, fit, function requirements. Potential small offerors must be able to successfully demonstrate the capability to deliver these components in the required quantities and delivery time of twenty (20) weeks from date of award. Potential small offerors must be able to transfer the manufacturers warranty to the Government and provide proof that the warranty is transferable.
