Lodging accommodation and meeting space is needed for twenty-five (25) participants in the BUSINESS COUNSELING AND EXPORT ASSISTANCE TRAINING course scheduled in Washington, D.C. on the following dates: April 26-May 06, 1998 (12 days). A few participants may be arriving on or about Saturday. April 25th and the rest or bulk on Sunday, April 26th and departing on or about WEDNESDAY, May 06, 1998. AUDIOVISUAL EQUIPMENT NEEDED: Television monitor with VCR player (1 day), Overhead projector with large screen (7 days). Exact number of participants needing accommodations and their arrival date will be provided no later than April 18, 1998, or sooner. Specifications: Accommodations must have the following: * Be three blocks or less from a Metro subway stop * Be no more than twenty (20) minute commuting time from Department of Commerce, 14th & Constitution Ave., NW, WDC * Sleeping room with a full kitchenette (Due to the length of the stay, many of our foreign national prefer to prepare their on food) * Fitness Center, but not required * Smoke detectors * Restaurant on-site, but not required * Conference space to seat (30) participants in a U-shape will be needed for each day, Monday through Friday. Conference space will only be used, if it is provided as part of the total cost for the rooms. Must include two flip chart stands with paper for each day, Monday through Friday. Award will be made under Simplified Acquisition Procedures. The Govern- ment anticipates award will be made by February 20, 1998. Contact the POC for official due date and time of offers.
