Kornegay, Contract Specialist, (202) 324-5724 The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) intends to negotiate on a sole-source basis with MITRETEK Systems for a follow-on contract to continue "post-award" support services. These services are in support of CJIS Division contracts awarded using MITRETEK-assisted specifications and evaluation support. MITRETEK supports the CJIS Division in the following four areas, which remain unchanged from the previous contract: (1) ensuring the selected contractors meet design specifications and goals; (2) provide technical assistance with the post-award development and implementation of CJIS Division technologies; (3) assist users of CJIS Division systems during implementation and transition; and (4) aid the CJIS Division in evolutionary planning. MITRETEK possesses an unequaled knowledge and experience related to these efforts through the highly specialized work performed in specification development, architecture design, proposal evaluations and incremental system development. This follow-on contract will have the option to extend performance for up to 48 months. Vendors able to meet this requirement are invited to provide technical capabilities, pricing, and other information which shows a bona fide ability to meet this requirement within 45 days of this publication. If no affirmative responses are received within this time to determine that a comparable source more advantageous to the Government is available, negotiations will be conducted with MITRETEK on a sole-source basis.
