Modification to contract N00421-97-C-1221 with Avtron Manufacturing, 7900 E. Pleasant Valley Road, Independence, OH 44131. Modification will upgrade a second Avtron T665A 200 Horsepower Test Stand System to an Avtron K938 500 Horsepower Test Stand System. The Government will reutilize the existing Avtron T665A power supply conversion unit which consists of an ADDvantage-32 DC drive controller. The components of the upgraded 500 horsepower test stand system must be compatible with the ADDvantage-32 and identical to the existing K938 500 horsepower test stand system. In accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 6.302-1, "only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements", the Government will negotiate on a sole source basis with Avtron Manufacturing, Inc., located in Independence, OH. The ADDvantage-32 has specific interface requirements which are proprietary to Avtron. DELIVERY: 12 months after date of modification. DESTINATION: NAWCAD, Patuxent River, MD.
