Architect, Landscape Architect or Engineering firm to provide
professional services for the design expansion of the existing
columbarium at the National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific, Honolulu,
HI (Project No. 899CM3021). The A/E team should include the disciplines
necessary to do this type of work. Applicants must have an established
working office in the State of Hawaii of sufficient size and
experience to accomplish the project. Interested firms are encouraged
to submit Standard Forms 254 and 255. Firms submitting the information
within 30 calendar days from the date of appearance of this notice, or
March 3, 1998, whichever is later, will be considered. Selection will
be based on the following criteria: (1) Experience of the firm in this
type and scale of work; (2) Location of the firm within the specified
geographical area; (3) Previous experience with proposed
subconsultants in accomplishing this type of work. The National
Cemetery System will provide the selected firm with as-builts of the
existing columbarium. Those drawings will be followed as the basis of
this phase. The estimated construction cost for approximately 5,000
niches is between $1,000,000 and $2,000,000. Site visits for
familiarization purposes are by appointment only through the Director
of the National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific, telephone (808)
