Saint Louis, Contracting Officer; 304/636-1800, ext. 265 The Monongahela National Forest anticipates contracting a base year with four option years of survey services including work such as furnishing the Forest Service with centerline and cross section surveys for roads projects; slope staking construction projects using Forest Service furnished slope stake information; and furnishing base line and cross sections for site surveys. Specific work assignments will be issued on Delivery Orders against the contract as needed. The work will encompass projects throughout the Monongahela National Forest in various counties, West Virginia. Over 75% of the work will be surveying for road construction purposes on low standard timber haul roads in forested mountainous areas. Offerors will be required to submit a technical proposal addressing the following criteria: 1. Experience of the firm and principal(s) in performing all types of survey in forested mountainous terrain; 2. Experience of the individual party chief who will be assigned to the survey crew; 3. Identification and experience of backup party chief if primary party chief in No. 2 is unable to perform; 4. Experience of the rest of the crew and backup plans; and 5. The equipment available for use of the project work; i.e., vehicle, survey instruments, etc. The base year will run for 12 months from the date of award with the possibility of 4 consecutive option years.
