C -- ARCHITECT AND ENGINEERING SERVICES FOR WATERPROOFING BUILDINGS, PHASE I SOL 631-8-98 DUE 022198 POC Douglas Brown, (413)582-3093 A/E services to survey all Medical Center buildings to develop a master plan for waterproofing exterior masonry surfaces. Work may include waterprooofing, tuckpointing and /or masonry replacement, and repairing or caulking of expansion joints. Master plan to include an assessment of all buildings to determine conditions and to establish priorities for which buildings need the work done earliest including cost estimates for work. Following completion and acceptance of the Survey, A/E to prepare contract drawings and specifications for Phase I of work for an estimated construction budget between $250,000 and $500,000. The design team should include an occupational health specialist to asure that any work proposed meets OSHA, EPA, and DEP standards. This will bea a fast track design process. Selection will be based on recent specialized experience, professional capacity to accomplish work, professioanl qualifications of staff and consultants assigned to the project, the location of the firm in relation tothis Medical Center, and experience and capabilities using CAAD. Applications will be accepted from firms that maintain an established office in the states of Massachusetts, Connecticut, Vermont, New Hampshire, Rhode Island or Maine.
