The total area of the project is approximately 2400 square meters. The work activities for this project include, but are not limited to removal of asbestos and lead paint from identified areas, removal of interior finishes and renovation of all interior surfaces, reconstruction of the smaller auditorium and adjacent spaces, totaling approximately 462 square meters. In addition, the project requires complete removal and replacement of electrical, computer, and telephone wiring, installation of sprinklers throughout all spaces, construction of two new restrooms, renovation of two existing restrooms, installation of Government furnished audio visual equipment, and the removal and replacement of several air handling units serving Building 2. The estimated price range is between 1.0 and 5.0 million dollars. A bid bond will be required and the successful contractor will be required to providepayment and performance bonds. The performance period will be 385 days after receipt of notice to proceed. The SIC Code for this action is 1741, with a size standard of 7.0 million. NOTE: This is a negotiated acquisition.
