Specifically, the Commission is concerned with the inability of some transitioning military personnel to meet civilian credentialing standards which can preclude them from realizing the full benefits of their military training and experience. The Commission seeks to obtain the services to survey the remaining military occupational specialties in order to identify those with counterpart civilian occupations that involve licensure or certification and to develop approaches for conducting more detailed examinations of candidate occupational groups.
