is a Market Survey to locate potential sources for available Auxiliary
Power Units meeting the performance requirements stated below. The
firms answering shall supply the following technical data of their
respective APU: dimensions (Length x Width x Height), dry weight, audio
noise levels at 7 meters, description of local and remote control
panels and interface hardware for mounting on a M577 vehicle. The
response shall include information about price, quantity discounts and
scope of commercial warranty. Also include logistics related
information such as reliability and maintainability performance (mean
time between failure, maintenance ratio, etc.), past history of
warranty repair, preventative maintenance requirements, etc. This
notice is for planning purposes only, and shall not be construed as a
Request for Quotation (RFQ) or an obligation on the part of the
Government to make any follow-on acquisition. The Government does not
intend to award a contract on the basis of responses to this noticeor
otherwise pay for the information solicited. No entitlement to payment
of direct or indirect cost or changes by the Government will arise as
the result of submission of responses to this notice and Government
use of this information. Performance and Interface requirements for the
5kW 28VDC Auxiliary Power Unit: maximum length 38 inches; maximum width
30.5 inches; maximum height 18 inches; maximum weight 600 ponds; must
mount on M577 vehicle using existing mounting provisions; maximum audio
noise 70 Dba at 7 meters; Power at sea level and 120 degrees F or
4000ft and 95 degrees F, 5kW at 28VDC at 8000 ft and 95 degrees F
4.34kW at 28VDC; Fuel requirements, Diesel (DF1, DF2, DFA) and JP8;
Local operation at APU or operation from remote panel provided with APU
and mounted inside vehicle voltage regulation 4%, voltage short term
