R -- M109 INTERACTIVE ELECTRONIC TECHNICAL MANUALS (IETM) SOL DAAE30-98-R-0204 DUE 020998 POC Patricia A. Regelski, Contracting Officer (973) 724-3832 WEB: US ARMY TACOM-ARDEC Procurement Network, http://procnet.pica.army.mil/procacts.htm. E-MAIL: Gwendolyn S. Miles, gmiles@pica.army.mil. The proposed contractor to perform the integration of the Class V IETM effort for Paladin / FAASV family of vehicles in United Defense Limited partnership, Paladin Production Division, Chambersburg, Pa.. PPD is the present Paladin producer and the prior producer of the Paladin/FAASV, BMY York, Pa, is part of the limited partnership. UDLP has been performing, as the only supplier of Paladin, all of the engineering services and changes associated with the system improvements through the current ongoing services contract. This effort includes all of the associated integrated logistic tasks associated with Paladin such as, publications, provisioning updates etc., associated with these engineering changes. The engineering/logistic familiarity gained through the engineering service contract, from development through the present production phase, have resulted in UDLP being the most knowledgeable contractor associated with the Paladin system. The partnership agreement established between United Defense, VSE and BRI, the technical support contractors for the FAASV/109 family of vehicles, will allow maximum commonality and enhancement of the Class V IETMs based on the combined engineering knowledge and logistic support being performed. The above knowledge will allow the most expeditious scheduling of the Class V effort since the data and knowledge resides within these aforementioned contractors resulting in savings attributed to approve diagnostics enhancement, training enhancements, accurate parts ordering capability, and timeliness. On or about 16 January 1998 solicitation # DAAE30-98-R-0204 containing The Statement of Work on this acquisition will be made available on the Procnet Website(http://procnet.pica.army.mil).
