The Marine Corps will rebuild 680 AAV's starting October 1, 1998, and completion by September 30, 2002. Each vehicle consists of approximately 7,000 to 11,000 itmes with two production facilities performing the RAM/RS (one maintenance center is located in Albany, GA and the other maintenance center is located in Barstow, CA). Alternatives being considered for material management support of the program include a single source to provide complete material management with on-site inventories at both maintenance locations.
