628-4663 This is a synopsis of a requirement for commercial services
prepared in accordance with the format in FAR subpart 12.6, as
supplemented with additional information included in the notice.
Proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will be issued
upon request. This is a request for quotation (RFQ) number
DTCG80-98-Q-3FA778. This solicitation document will incorporate
provisions and clauses that are in effect through Federal Acquisition
Circular 90-46. The standard industrial classification code is 3731 and
the size standard is 1000 employees. The requirement is for the
following: Contractor to provide all labor, services, material, and
equipment on USCGC SMILAX to perform the following : (1) Welding
Rapairs, (2) Renew Watertight Hatches, (3) Renew Exhaust Lagging and
Remove Boiler Exhaust Piping, (4) Overhaul Facing Winches, (5) Install
and Test Pad Eyes and links, (6) Reseal Wardroom and Mess deck
covering, (7) Renew deck covering and (8) Provide Temporary Logistics.
Specifications to be provided on request. Work to start by 30 March
and end on 21 April 1998. Place of Performance is Brunswick, GA. The
government will award a contract resulting from this solicitation to
the responsible offeror whose offer conforming to the solicitation will
be most advantageous to the government, price and other factors
considered. The following factors shall be used to evaluate offer:
